What makes Italy so special?
Is it because it is the cradle of Roman Civilization, of historic importance like Pompeii, Herculanium, Oplontis or the Stabian Villas? Is it because of its artistic patrimony with the marvels of Michelangelo, the genius of Leonardo or the architecture of Borromini? Is it the birthplace and humus of literary giants such as Dante, Calvino, Moravia, Umberto Eco and Cammilleri? Is it the clear waters of Sardegna,Calabria and the Cilento, or the kind, stylish countrysides of Umbria and Tuscany?
Or has it simply become Thomas Tank huffing and puffing, “I think I can, I think I can”?
